Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How does the registration price, $130 for one person or $230 for you and a non WRBC member, work?
A: The price for Falls Creek is $130 per student. However, all students are encouraged to bring their friends! This year we are offering a discount for those who bring a friend who does not regularly attend WRBC. Payments for both students can be made separately for $115 each or together for $230. Please indicate the WRBC student and non-WRBC student.
Q: Are scholarships available?
A: Yes they are. We never want finances to be a reason that a student cannot attend Falls Creek. We ask that you pay as much as you possibly can, to maximize what God has provided to help students go to camp. Talk to Steve if you will be needing to get a scholarship.
Q: How do I pay?
A: You can pay with cash, or by making a check out to WRBC, or by paying online by clicking HERE.
Q: I have to leave early or I have to show up late. Can I still go?
A: While we definitely encourage students to commit to the whole week to get the full camp experience, you can still go! Have a parent/guardian communicate the situation with Steve Hall and why you will be leaving early or showing up late. He will give you specific details on how to plan the logistics. Also, annotate on your cover sheet what dates and times you will be arriving or leaving. If you are leaving, please let us know if/when you are coming back.
Q: Why are there two medical release forms?
A: One is specific to Falls Creek and covers the student while on the grounds of Falls Creek. The other is for WRBC and covers the student while the student is entrusted to WRBC, including traveling to and from Falls Creek. The WRBC Medical Release only needs to be completed annually. If you have completed one for 2019, you do not need to complete another one.
Q: As a parent, may I visit camp?
A: Absolutely! Parents are welcome to visit Falls Creek between the hours of 12:15pm & 9pm. You are welcome to join us for a meal and even attend the evening tabernacle service. As you go through the registration process on Monday morning, you will have the opportunity to let us know what days you are coming, whether you will be joining us for lunch or dinner, and how many people you are bringing. As you drive in for a day at Falls Creek, there will be a $3.00 entry charge per person. If you would like to watch the evening Falls Creek tabernacle services from home, you can go to skopos.org/fallscreek/livestream
Q: How is medication handled at camp?
A: All medications must be turned in at registration on Monday morning. A designated adult sponsor will be in charge of all medications and will administer them at proper times throughout the day. Students will be responsible to remind the adult sponsor when their medications are needed. A rescue inhaler may be kept with the student, but we do need to know at registration if he/she will have one.
Q: Do we need spending money at camp?
A: Extra spending money is suggested for each student who attends Falls Creek. Icees, ice cream, and other refreshments will be sold between sessions and in the evenings throughout the week. Other items such as T-shirts, journals, and many other souvenir items are available in the Falls Creek Gift Shop. All of these are optional expenses. Please note that we are not responsible for lost or stolen items during the week.
Q: Are cell phones allowed at Falls Creek?
A: Cell phones are not prohibited but they will not be allowed during certain parts of the day such as tabernacle services, in-cabin teaching times, and small groups. If a student is abusing his/her cell phone usage, we may take it away. Please note that we are not responsible for lost or stolen items during the week.
