WELCOME TO WRBC!
Waterloo Road Baptist Church exists to develop and empower fully-devoted followers of Jesus Christ. Our mission is that we “Come In to Go Out,” meaning that we come into the church to worship, study and fellowship together in order to go out into the world and live out the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20). We focus our efforts on three key areas and we encourage and empower our members to be involved in: Worship, Small Groups, and Missions.
We are currently home to 700-800 people participating in two morning worship services. We are a mixed-generational church, made up of believers across all age groups. Whatever your age, you have a place to serve and belong at WRBC!
Small Groups are a big part of who we are as a church because we believe the relationships and spiritual development that occur there are priceless. We have thriving and growing ministries for preschoolers and children, middle and high school students, college students and young adults all the way through senior adults. Stop by the Welcome Center in the Family Life Center at 9:15am to find a group that fits you!
Missions has long been a passion of WRBC. We believe that God calls every Christian to minister locally, across our nation, and around the world. We fulfill this call through various mission trips around the world, giving to the Cooperative Program, and serving locally with the homeless, the orphaned, and the starving.
BECOMING A CHRISTIAN
Becoming a follower of Jesus Christ is the greatest decision you will ever make. God loves you and sent His son, Jesus, with the eternal purpose of giving His life in your place on the cross! So how do you accept this free gift of Salvation?
Admit: Admit that you are a sinner and repent (or turn) from your sin. Romans 3:23 says “all have sinned and fall short of God’s glory.”
Believe: You are saved by faith, believing that God sent His son to die on the cross for your sin. John 3:16 says “for God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but will have eternal life.”
Commit: This decision is about making Jesus Christ the Lord (Boss, Savior, Coach) of your life. You are surrendering your desires for His. Romans 10:9-10 tells us how to be saved: “If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
If you have decided to surrender your life to Jesus Christ today or want to talk more about this, please contact any of our pastors today!
JOINING THE CHURCH
Why does membership matter? We take membership seriously. Committing yourself to a body of believers is weighty, yet absolutely wonderful. As a member, you are committed to a spiritual family that provides community, support and encouragement.
There are a three ways to become a member of WRBC.
- A testimony of your personal profession of faith in Christ followed by Biblical Baptism by immersion here at WRBC.
- Transfer of your church membership from another Southern Baptist church.
- A statement of your previous decision to follow Christ and Biblical Baptism.
Respond by coming forward during an invitation time in one of our worship services to let us know your desire to join WRBC.
