Woman2Woman Mentoring

What is the purpose of the Woman2Woman Mentoring Program?

The purpose of the Woman2Woman Mentoring program is to give the women of Waterloo Road Baptist Church the opportunity to experience joy and growth in their Christian lives by participating in one-on-one mentoring friendships. Our Scriptural foundation is Titus 2:3-5, which tells us to teach and guide the next generation of Christian women. A mentor will be a woman who is a practicing Christian, regularly attending WRBC, and has the desire to let her life be a Godly example. A mentee is any believer in need of a Godly woman to walk alongside her for a season. This program is designed for women ages 18 years of age or older. If you are looking for a mentor for someone under 18, please contact Emily Townley or Steve Hall at 405.341.9024.

Who is the Mentoring program for?

Our Woman2Woman Mentoring program is for women 18 years of age or older who are looking for any of the following:

  • A deeper, more intimate relationship with Jesus
  • Desire another woman that you can trust to walk side-by-side with you through a season of life
  • Have been through some tougher times in life and desire to share what you have learned with others to hopefully encourage them in their life journeys.
  • Have a heart for praying for others and want a way to use this gift
  • Are in a new season of life and want to connect with others who are experiencing the same
  • Desire to grow closer to women in the church

How does the Mentoring Program Work?

Our Woman2Woman Mentoring program is designed to pair up two women for a season of encouragement. Mentees and Mentors attend one of the informational meetings and then are paired up by our Woman2Woman Mentoring team. At the Matching Luncheon, mentoring partners meet and have their first session. Attendance at ONE Informational Meeting AND the Matching Luncheon are requirements for participation.

How do you decide who my mentoring partner will be?

The Woman2Woman Mentoring Team prayerfully considers each applicant and matches partners based on interests, schedules, similar experiences, and additional factors.

What do I do if I don’t mesh well with my mentoring partner?
